ASD Research Project

Are you an adult with Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism?

Do you live in East Lancashire?

Would you like to be involved in the
Adult AS research project?

If your answer is yes to these questions, please read below.

Action for ASD’s research officer is currently organising a Service User Feedback Group to provide feedback on certain aspects of the Adult AS research project.

The aims and objectives of the project have been established and the project has been underway since June 2009. It will last until June 2011 when the results of the research will be submitted to East Lancashire Primary Care Trust.

The aim of the Service User Feedback Group is to help the research officer conduct the project research in a way that is suitable for the AS population.

This will include:

The group will meet approximately once per month depending on the stage of the project.

At some points during the project it may not be necessary to meet for a few months, in that situation there may not be a meeting until the project moves onto the next stage and feedback is required on something else.

The group size has been limited to a maximum of 8 people to ensure that every member of the feedback group can contribute fully, if the group is too large this is difficult to manage.

Once the group has been formed there will not a provision for additional members unless a member leaves.

The first meeting is to be held in February 2010, if you would like to be a member of the Service User Feedback Group and contribute to the AS Project please contact;

Emma either by email at;
